Tamil NEw years Day!!!

I follow the reasoning by Dawkins and the ilk. Mr.Karunanithi is bent upon changing the age-old tradition of celebration ogf the Tamil New year on April 13 ie Chithirai 1.Can he rename the pongal day as Chithirai 1 so that that would become the beginning of the tamil calender?

He is trying to pull a cultural revolution in Tamil Nadu...As Mao did in china. Let him understand that we are living in the internet age of which he can hear and see and not think and work.He has no cognition of the information age being very old.

Can he give the reasons for the shift of the day? Mainly brahmins celebrate the Tamil Newyear on the Vishu day...or April 13.....Is he still peeved on brahmins....?
Why this drama of shadow boxing?
People know that the present Govt does not represent the forward class and Dalits equally.May Thirumavalavan will realise this quickly and join BSP to save Dalits.
Agitating against the brahmins so-called absent domination OBC classes and Backward classes came to power in Tamil Nadu riding on the Anti-hindi feeling of the masses. Now the real downtrodden ie Dalits are secondary and brahmins have become an extinct force...If Karunanithi thinks like this it is incorrect.Brahmins will join with Dalits to see the cultural damage is repaired and due positions are restored.

Karunanidhi has no credit for "moving the Tamil new year". The present months Chithirai, Vaigasi are Hindu name and not Tamil names. Pongal has always been associated with new activities. Tamil months are Suravam, Kumbam, Meenam, Mezham etc.
April 14 still is Chithirai Thirunaal, auspicious day for Hindus. It is really Tamil Hindu New Year and not Tamil new year. Tamil New Year (non-religious) is Jan 15. Anyway, traitor Karunanidhi has no credit for "moving the new year". Thiruvalluvar calender has been in official use by TN govt for last 3 decades.
